Police Release Identity of Car Accident Victim
The identity of a car accident victim has finally been released to the press after a full autopsy was performed by a County's Coroner Office.
According to police reports, the victim, a 44-year-old man, was heading north on an interstate when he lost control of his SUV. The vehicle went across the center median and nearly swerved into oncoming traffic.
While he was lucky to avoid hitting another vehicle, the driver's overcorrection caused the SUV to flip. Since he was not wearing a seat belt, the driver was ejected and thrown several feet away from his car.
Officers say there were three more passengers in the SUV – an adult and two children – all of which are in stable condition. It took ten firefighters to respond to the serious crash and attend to the injuries of the remaining victims.
