Family Mourns Loss after Car Accident

One family will be forever affected by the decision of one woman to speed on a Nevada highway after the woman lost her life last week.

According to the medical examiner on the case, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the car accident that she caused. Police believe that she was traveling at excessive speeds when she attempted to negotiate a slight curve. She started to lose control of her vehicle and then over-navigated, which caused her to drive into an embankment and slam into several trees.

It took emergency rescue crews an hour just to remove the woman, another adult passenger and her 3-year-old daughter from the mangled wreckage. Luckily, the daughter and the second passenger sustained just minor injuries. The accident is still under investigation and police have yet to determine whether drugs and/or alcohol are to blame for the fatal crash.
