Marshal Injured in Las Vegas Court
A woman at a mental health court hearing could face additional charges after she resisted being taken into custody, injuring a Nevada court officer in the process.
Latasha Williams, 36, was taken to jail Tuesday following a fight in which she tried to resist being taken into custody by a Clark County marshal. The videotape released by the Clark County spokeswoman showed uniformed court marshals attempting to control Williams as she fought to resist.
The marshal injured in the scuffle suffered a knee injury and a cut on his face.
Williams' hearing dealt with charges regarding child endangerment and kidnapping after she allegedly threated two children in a Las Vegas apartment complex.
