Man Alleges Las Vegas Police Officer Beat Him
A man who was arrested Sunday on charges for obstructing a police officer and battery on a protected person is alleging that the Las Vegas officer involved brutally beat him including multiple blows to the chest, head and face.
The man arrested is alleging that a Las Vegas officer was unprovoked or justified when he beat and kicked him causing multiple bruises, bodily damage and injuries to his face. The man reportedly heard a police helicopter and went outside out of curiosity, bringing a camera which he used at his job. He alleges that he filmed several individuals who had been arrested and were sitting on the curb, describing the scene as "routine" and calm.
Minutes later the man alleges that the officer, after placing the arrestees in the back of the patrol car, shined a spotlight on him and told him to turn off his camera several times, also asking if he lived there. The next few moments resulted in a scuffle that caused injuries to the man who was arrested and charged, but no injuries were reported to have occurred to the officer. Several witnesses in the area stated that they heard cries for help from someone that night.
