Texting While Driving May Become Illegal in Nevada
If a new bill passes in the Nevada state assembly, it will be the next state to ban talking or texting on a cell phone while driving.
The new bill would require hands-free devices to be used if drivers want to answer their phones while operating their vehicles. Texting, however, would be completely illegal once you are behind the wheel. Since it passed through the assembly without any complaints, the new bill is expected to be passed soon by the state senate. While most people are in favor of the bill, there are some who are skeptical that the bill will be effective at all.
Commenting on the bill, Las Vegas resident Gary Bryant said, "Even in California since the law has been passed I still see people driving while on their cell phones. And anytime you go down the road and someone is driving crazy or stupid or slow they are always on the phone."
