Speeding and Drinking May Have Led to Car Accident
A family in Kingman received tragic news this week that their son lost his life in a terrible car accident.
According to a statement released by the National Parks Service, the victim, 20-year-old Tylor Krabbe, was driving along the boundaries of Lake Mohave when he lost control of his vehicle. However, since the park is so large, it was several hours later when the body was discovered by a park maintenance employee.
Initial medical reports estimate that Krabbe lost his life between 2:30 and 4:30 AM and responding officers believe that speed and alcohol were the two major contributing factors to the fatal car accident.
Police say the vehicle may have eluded discovery because the collision occurred during early morning hours and also because the car went over a hill into a ravine. Krabbe is believed to have been driving at a speed of 75 mph in the 45 mph zone when the crash occurred.
Officers also reported that there was one passenger in the vehicle. He was found alive but in critical condition and is being treated at a Las Vegas hospital at this time.
