Babysitter and Three Children Victims of Fatal House Fire
Tragedy has struck Pahrump, where a house fire took the lives of three young children as well as their babysitter. According to a neighbor, five children lived in the home, as well as two adult women. One of the adult women was the babysitter who died in the fire. Information is unavailable about either the other woman or the two other children, though it is believed that they were not at the home at the time of the fire. All three of the children were younger than the age of 10.
The fire occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at 3421 Prospector Lane. An off-duty firefighter happened to see the fire and attempted to save the children who were inside. He was not able to save any of the children, and he suffered some burn injuries while trying to do so. Neighbors reportedly tried to help keep the fire under control using their lawn hoses, though it was to no avail. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
