Officer Injured in DUI Crash
A Las Vegas officer involved in a drunk driving accident earlier this week is in the hospital in critical condition.
According to police reports the officer stopped to investigate a crash by an individual who was determined to be intoxicated. While investigating the crash the officer was struck behind by another drunk driver who had swerved off of the road. The officer was violently thrown more than 50 feet and suffered severe bodily injury including broken bones, head injuries, and other nearly catastrophic injuries.
