Taxi Cab Passenger Killed in Rear-End Accident
Last Friday around 6:00 p.m., a taxi cab was driving with three passengers on Interstate 15 when it was rear-ended by a green dodge. None of the passengers were wearing seatbelts.
Two of the three passengers were injured in the taxi cab accident and taken to University Medical Center. The third, 62 year old John Meredith, was killed and pronounced dead at the scene. Meredith was visiting Las Vegas from Williamston, Michigan.
A previous accident on the same road had caused traffic. Police reports have indicated that the green Dodge was at fault and that it caught fire after the collision. He did not appear to be injured.
The names of driver of the Dodge and of the other two passengers in the taxi have not yet been released.
