Louisiana Resident Dies in Vegas Plane Crash
One man died and another three people were injured this weekend when a personal plane crashed onto a Vegas street on Monday. No homes were damaged and no residents of the neighborhood were harmed. The pilot, 45 year old Douglas Touchet, was killed in the crash. His wife, Susan Touchet, is listed in critical condition at University Medical Center. The other two victims are believed to be Randall Savoy and Tamika Savoy. They are listed as being in serious, but not critical, condition. All of the passengers on the plane are from Louisiana.
Man people in the neighborhood heard the crash and immediately rushed outside. They were able to pull two of the people from the wreck, and stopped the vast majority of the fire with hoses and fire extinguishers.
Officials have not yet determined what caused the plane to crash. It appears as if the pilot tried to land on the street after being unable to gain enough altitude.
