2 Million Graco Strollers Recalled
Graco, a company that makes baby products, has announced a recall of around 2 million baby strollers. The strollers were sold between 2000 and 2007 and there have been 4 reported deaths caused by faulty design.
Since 2008, there have been regulations put in place to prevent children from slipping through their straps in their strollers because some children become stuck and are accidentally strangled or hurt. Now, strollers are made so that there is a longer opening between the stroller tray and the bottom of the seat. The new design is meant to prevent children from becoming stuck or strangled.
In addition to the four cases of strangulation and death, there were another reported 5 cases of entrapment with minor injuries and another case of a child that became stuck and had difficulty breathing.
