Shoppers Trampled in Black Friday Rush
A New York Target may be facing a lawsuit after multiple shoppers were trampled on Black Friday. One man, Keith Krantz, fell to the floor after being trapped against a door and falling when people were pushing too hard. He suffered a herniated disk. Target is investigating the incident.
Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of the year. The day after Thanksgiving is known for it's large discounts and special sales; stores open up as early as 3:00 a.m. and shoppers have been known to stand in line for hours in order to get the first pick at good deals. Many people do most of their Christmas shopping on Black Friday.
Although stores take numerous precautions against mob-scenes and trampling, it still continues to occur. Last year, a man died during Black Friday shopping at Walmart when he was trampled to death.
