Recall: New Braunfels Smokehouse Turkey Breast Products
The Texas-based food company "New Braunfels Smokehouse" is recalling more than 2,600 pounds of pre-cooked, ready-to-eat turkey breast products because of a possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The affected products include: the 1 pound packages of sliced smoked turkey, the 4-6 pound packages of honey-glazed spiral sliced smokehouse hickory smoked boneless breast of turkey, the 4-6 pound packages of the stegall boneless turkey breast and the 4-6 pound packages of the stegall spiral sliced hickory smoke turkey breast.
The products have been distributed in stores and online. They are available nationwide. If you have purchased any of these items, please return them to the store for a full refund. Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes poisoning include: nausea, headache, high fever and neck stiffness. It can also cause pregnant women to miscarry or deliver stillborn babies. In rare cases, it can be fatal.
