An unnamed 21 year old woman was struck in the head by a slow moving propeller at McCarran International Airport on Thursday. She was taken to nearby University Medical Center in critical condition, but is now reportedly in fair condition. It is unknown how the accident took place, but she may need to hire a Las Vegas personal injury lawyer to file a negligence claim.
The plane was a single engine, privately owned BeachCraft Bonanza; the pilot and owner was Don Connelly, a resident of El Cajon, California. The owner of the plane may be held responsible for her injury, as it is a premises liability.
The plane accident also exposed a possible affair between Connelly and the young woman. Connelly is married and had told his wife that he was leaving town on a business trip. The alleged business trip was not supposed to take place in Las Vegas.
Connelly's wife is concerned for the young woman, but does not have any information about her or whether her parents have been notified of her accident.
