3 Pedestrians Injured by Drunk Driver

Monday evening, a black pickup truck drove onto the curb of the sidewalk on the Las Vegas Strip, hitting three pedestrians. The victims, two females and a male, were immediately taken to University Medical Center Trauma. Although pedestrian injuries are often very serious because of the nature of the accident, all of the victims are in stable condition. Pedestrian accidents often result in serious injuries such as broken bones, head and brain trauma, spine injuries, and internal bruising or bleeding.
The driver of the vehicle, Chris Kiser, initially sped away, making the accident a hit and run crime. He was caught and arrested by police for DUI early Tuesday morning. They then realized he was the driver of the accident from earlier than evening. He is also charged with drug possession and various traffic offenses.
If the victims choose to file a claim against him, he may be responsible for the cost of their medical bills, rehabilitation, pain and suffering, and emotional trauma.
