The Utah bus crash which killed three people in a crash on Monday evening was driven by a Japanese exchange student at the University of Las Vegas. The driver, who has not been identified, is 26. He suffered only minor injuries in the wreck. Police currently believe that he may have been tired and that is why he was easily distracted or not paying attention.
He was driving a Japanese tour group to Bryce Canyon National Park when he lost control of the vehicle, which then rolled one and a half times into the median. All of the vehicle's occupants were Japanese; the youngest victim was 14, the oldest 60. Names and ages of the deceased, two men and one woman, have not been released. Of the fourteen passengers, seven of them had to be flown to hospitals in Salt Lake City.
The driver was working for Canyon Transportation Inc, which owned the small bus, and was also trying to get a U.S. visa.
