Man Dies at Hard Rock Hotel Pool

A 27 year old man who was visiting the Hard Rock Hotel from Oregon died during a pool party at the hotel.
Matthew Williams, from Happy Valley, OR, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. Although it is known that he was injured in the head, and it is reported that he drowned, it is unknown what caused the injury.
Information about how long he was underwater, who noticed, and whether or not premises negligence or lifeguard negligence has not been released. Many pool injuries occur because of intoxication, lifeguards inattention, and improperly maintained tiles that lead to slip and fall accidents.
