Biker in Coma after Being Struck by SUV

This week, news sources revealed further information related to a pedestrian accident that left a 23-year-old gentleman with serious injuries. According to reports, the accident took place while the young man was riding his bike through a crosswalk. While biking, he was hit by a SUV unexpectedly. Following the collision medics announced that the victim, J.C., had been taken to University Medical Center in Nevada. He sustained serious injuries to his head and legs and remains in a coma.

The accident occurred on January 10^th at around 5:15 PM. Witnesses later told police that J.C. was on his bicycle when he was hit by the vehicle. One witness rushed to the victim's side to offer him comfort until EMTs could arrive at the scene. Another witness told reporters that after J.C. was hit by the SUV, he actually flew high into the air from his bicycle and landed in the street. The same witness said that while two other vehicles stopped for the young man, the SUV driver was speeding and did not stop in time to avoid hitting him.
