Several Drunk Driving Accidents Reported over Super Bowl Weekend
Super Bowl weekend is known for being rowdy, prompting extra police patrols on Nevada highways. However, despite the increased efforts, five people lost their lives over the much celebrated NFL weekend. While the reports are still coming in, Metro police have reported that there was an increase in DUI arrests and accidents this year when compared to last year during Super Bowl weekend. Several roadblocks and DUI checkpoints were set up in and around Las Vegas, Nevada to catch drunk drivers leaving Super Bowl parties. However, there were still several accidents that left multiple people dead and many more injured.
One such accident was caused by 26-year-old N.L. who was driving drunk early on Sunday morning. She struck a 15-year-old boy who was standing at a bus stop. When officers caught up with the suspect, she had multiple open alcohol containers in her vehicle. Another young person, 24-year-old T.D., was also struck and killed by a driver that police believe may have been intoxicated at the time of the collision. Did you sustain injuries during a
